Each week this last month, folks have been coming in to either the Bradford House or Gentry House and finding new art on the white boards. We’ve had pictures of downtown Seattle, the tree hanging over the water at Washington Park in Anacortes, Deception Pass Bridge, a local tugboat named The Quail with Orcas jumping near it and, most recently, the Rainbow Bridge in La Conner.
What has been fun has been how each of these scenes, drawn by our own Gavin Ellis, have brought out discussion and memories from clients. People are recognizing sites that mean a lot to them and remembering, and sharing the special memories that come to them. Gavin just says he is a bit worried because he is afraid he’s going to run out of ideas of what to draw next.
